I like to actually go to a store when shopping for art supplies. There is something that really satisfies me about sifting through bins and wandering around shelves and shelves of materials. I guess I would be okay ordering materials that I was thoroughly familiar with. But taking a chance on a tube of paint when you can’t see the color? Nope, can’t do that. Also, there is the aha! moment, when you spot something that you hadn’t thought of using before.

Artist & Craftsman Supply is a very favorite supply center here in da ‘burgh. It is packed, not just with supplies, but with toys and novelty merchandise. Check out the masks lining the shelves –

So, it was a productive trip. I picked up some paint, stretcher bars and a couple small packets of printed origami paper. What else? Oh yeah, some cheap brushes. Looking forward to my next trip and thank you to the wonderful staff, especially Crys.
