I have reorganized my site. I’ll be leaving oranje in place, as an archive. But my new home has been moved.

I just got back from the studio. It’s been a terribly long time since I posted any new work. Not that I haven’t been working, just not finishing. This series of paintings take a bit longer than what I was doing. Here’s the one I completed today –

Even though the collages are considerably smaller, they take multiple sessions over several days to complete. Which is why even these more experimental works are taking longer to get out of the hopper.

It’s been a really hectic month. I don’t usually post in her about this, but Mum has been having some serious issues with her health this last month. Frankly, Athlete’s foot would set her back at this point (slight exaggeration, dear reader)

Mum has been admitted to the hospital three times in the last few weeks. It’s been harrowing. I haven’t been able to spend much time in the studio lately, but today I just had to put some time in. It was a relief to not only pick up a paint brush but to be able to actually finish a work today.

More studio play time. I did start a canvas today, and I have another prepped.

It was another play day in the studio. I love doing these small works, very restful.

This has been in the works for awhile. I kept putting it aside, working on other things, dinking around with it. I actually started this over two months ago. That is a personal record for me for length between inception and completion.

So, with everything that has been happening this past week, I have managed to get in some time in front of the easel. Today, I also started prepping some new canvases and puttered around with some very small pieces.
